Robert Rothbaum, MD, FAAD

Board Certified Dermatologist

Dr. Rothbaum is the founder of No Filter Dermatology. He is passionate about providing patients with fast access to high quality, affordable dermatology care. He went to medical school at Boston University School of Medicine, graduating with honors in 2016. He went on to complete preliminary Internal Medicine training at Harvard's Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center program before finishing his Dermatology residency in 2020 at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.  Following residency he served on the academic faculty at Northwestern University in Chicago as an attending physician and assistant professor of Dermatology from 2020-2023. During his time at Northwestern, Dr. Rothbaum ran a busy outpatient clinic seeing the whole spectrum of dermatology patients while simultaneously teaching and training resident physicians. He was the co-director of a combined Rheumatology-Dermatology clinic specializing in treating patients with autoimmune diseases and was the only dermatologist in Illinois utilizing cutting edge medications to treat a rare genetic photosensitivity disorder called erythropoeitic protoporphyria. In his free time he enjoys powerlifting, exploring the Chicago food scene, gaming, and traveling the world with his wife.
